Memoirs of Christ Nagar VII

Hi all of you,

Nice to contact all of you once again.
Dinkar, please include me and invite me for Orkut community.
Continuing with my (our) memoirs session in Std VI.D,,

Malayalam class : Mrs. Annamma was our teacher.
We had no textbook for the first two moths. So, she was teaching
various aspects of grammar this time, like vibhakthi, types &
classification of namam, sarvanamam, kriya & other parts of speech in
detail.
Can you still forget the figures of speech (alankaram) taught?
Upama : `Onninonnodu sadirsyam chonnal upamayamathu'- lakshanam, with
the standard example, `Mannavendra vilangunnu chandraneppole nin
mugham'
Ulpreksha : `Mattonnin dharmayogathal athu thanallayoyithu
Ennu varnyathilashanka ulprekshayakhyayalankrithi', with the standard
example, `Kokasthree virahatheeyin pukayallo thamassithu'.
Roopakam : `Avarnyathodu varnyathinnabetham cholga roopakam'
Aprasthuthaprashamsa : `Aprasthuthaprashamsakhya
maprasthuthamurakkathal'
Within two months , we started classes on the new first paper text.
Remember the poems `Moham' of ONV which is still famous, those of
Irammian Thampy, Cherusseri, Asan etc. Also, remember the African
diary of SK Pottekad, stamp collection and others.
Remember the II paper text book we got after 3 months in the
class, `Bharatiyaraya pancha maha pratibhakal' where we learned the
life history of 5 eminent Indian personalities like JC Bose, CV Raman
and others.

Hindi class : Mr.MA Varghese was our teacher. He taught both the main
text book as well as the supplementary `Katha manjari'

Work Experience : Mr.Mathew was our teacher. All of us must be
remembering him helping us do experiments with magnetism and
electricity with his favourite `Dynam Electrikit'. The striking
feature in exams is that, if you know to draw each apparatus in the
exam, you pass the exam without knowing anything else.

To continue with Biology in the continuing sessionns,

Yours sincerely,
Sundar Singh
