Nice to see newcomers into the group. Welcome Bijoe into the group; hope you remain active permanently in the group. Nice to see your photos as well.
Continuing with my memoirs in Std IX.C,
Malayalam : Thomas Devasia sir taught the subject. Remember the chapters Mathrudevo bhava, poems by Cherusseri, Changampuzha (Kanaka chilanka kilungi kilungi) etc. Remember the II paper text `Urmila' which was mainly the life of Raman , Sita, Lakshmanan & Urmila , taken from the Ramayana.
Hindi : It was taught partially by Dr.Letha teacher, and by Harikrishnan sir. We had a main text book, and a supplementary reader
Biology : It was taught by Annie George teacher. She taught us the basis of binomial nomenclature into kingdom, phylum, subphylum, class, family, order, genus, species; also the
basis of cytology with the various parts of the cell; principles of diffusion, osmosis etc; systems of the human body esp the circulatory, respiratory in detail. Also remember the health science book which included descriptions ofthe various vitamins & other food factors required by the human body; diseases due to alcoholism & smoking (like thrombo angitis obliterans etc).
