Hi all,

Nice to contact all of you once again. What happened to everyone in the last one week? Winter is for hibernation for animals, not for humans !!

Continuing with the sessions of Std X.E,

Biology : Jayalekshmi teacher taught the subject. She taught us homeostasis in the blood (with renal function), nervous system (with sensory organs like eye, ear & others), genetics (with Mendelian theories), the theory of evolution, ecology etc. We also had a health science text book, which taught us regarding antibiotics, blood groups, hepatic & renal diseases, and defects of
smoking & alcoholism. Remember that we drew diagram of brain in SSLC exam (4 mark question).

Physics : PJ Jacob sir taught the subject. He taught us basics of optics (like dispersion, diffraction, scattering),lightning, heat (like H= I2RT) etc, electricity & magnetism, principles of radioactivity, nuclear reactions and electronics (diodes, transistor, TV, radar etc).

Chemistry : Devadas sir taught the subject. He taught us the basics of exo/endothermic reactions, blocks of periodic table (s,p,d,f), electrochemical reactions, alkali metals (Li, Na, K, Rb, Cs, Fr), alkaline earth metals (Be, Mg, Ca, Ba, Ra), boron family (B, Al , Ga , In, Th), transition metals, organic chemistry (with alkanes, alkenes, alkynes, alcohols, acids, aldehydes & ketones), chemistry in industries etc.
