Hi to my dear batch,
Nice to see the good no of mails recently; but sad to find the decreasing no of mails intended personally, and to cherish the good old memoirs of Christ Nagar,and poor response to my mails.
Continuing with the sessions, in VIII.A,
Hindi : Remember Madhavan Nair sir taking class on the Hindi text book as well as the supplementary reader.
Mathematics : Thomas Joseph sir taught us the subject in a very superb manner. The basics of algebra like (a+b)2 = a2 + b2 + 2ab, (a-b)2 = a2 + b2 – 2ab , the basics of trigonometry etc were taught.
Moral Science : Mrs.Annie Ignatius
Work Experience : Mathew sir (with Dynam Electrikit).
Biology : Jeyaraj sir. He taught the theory of Evolution, abiotic & biotic factors, diseases
(leprosy, filariasis etc), all the 9 systems of human body etc.
Physics : George Mathew sir. Principles of heat & transmission as conduction, convection &
radiation; Basics of Optics like stereoscopic vision & principles of refraction with the laws of refraction; Contrivances that make life better; life history of 4 eminent scientists etc.
Chemistry : George Mathew sir. Basis of equations & balancing of equations, exothermic & endothermic reactions with examples etc.
